| The Sony Chemical & Information Device Group has created an environmental management system that comprehensively covers all of our sites in Japan and overseas, and has acquired certification by undergoing an inspection by the external inspection agency BV to determine the state of our governance compliance with the Sony Group's Global Environmental Management System (GEMS). Based on this system, the Environmental Quality Control Division located at our Kanuma Plant conducts supervision and management, and efforts are made for environmental activities by the group as a whole. |

| While our environmental activities are all controlled by the environmental management system, each division/section committee considers its particular situations in determining and implementing specific activities in cooperation with the Specialists Committee and business unit manager. |
