3.Adhesive property (bonding strength at different temperatures)
Test Piece Condition
Substrate: Steel/Canvas
Degreasing: Degreased by toluene, subsequently exposed to trichloroethylene vapor for 20 min, then dipped in liquid trichloroethylene for 20 min; the cycle repeated three times
Coating thickness:
Steel:
First application 150gf/m²; dried for 10 min at 30°C; second application 200gf/m²

Canvas:
First application  150gf/m²; dried for 10 min at 30°C; second application 150gf/m²;
dried for 10 min at 30°C; third application 250gf/m²
  • After a five-minute open time following the last application, the adhesive layer was compressed at room temperature using a rubber roll. The layer was then dried for one hour at 60°C, cooled down to room temperature, and measurements were performed.

  • Application
    1. Clean and dry the surface of the substrate before application of the adhesive.
    2. Apply the adhesive uniformly, avoid forming too thick a layer. Apply the adhesive to both of the surfaces to be joined. This is not necessary for the simple fixing of a component.
    3. Dry the applied film for a few minutes until it loses its stickiness, then join the two surfaces under sufficient pressure. The joined pair can be handled after a few hours. Depending on the temperature and material, about 80% of the maximum strength is reached after about 24 hours.
  • Storage
    1. The product should be stored under conditions suitable for adhesives. Follow instructions in instruction manuals or as shown on the labels. The maximum shelf life of adhesives is one year. Use the lots out of a large quantity stored in order of age. Adhesives containing solvents are hazardous materials. Observe the provisions of fire prevention laws.
Notes
  1. Check before operation
Check the relevant material safety data sheet (MSDS) and instruction manuals for precautions required for operation.
  2. Operation environment
    • Keep ignition sources away.
    • Use a local ventilator to ensure sufficient air circulation.
  3. First aid
    • Learn action to take from the MSDS and instruction manuals.
    • In case of eye contact, vapor inhalation or swallowing, seek medical attention immediately.
  4. Storage
Store the product in a tightly closed container in a predetermined dark place at room temperature lower avoiding direct sunlight.
  5. Prohibition of unintended use
Never use the product except as an adhesive.
