Our company was established in 1962 with the manufacture and sale of a copper foil with adhesive for printed circuit boards for Sony's "TR-55," the first transistor radio in Japan, as its point of departure. During the 48 years since our company's inception, we have constantly focused our efforts on the development and production of cutting-edge materials and the development of process technology in the field of electronics to supply chemical compound devices with high functionality unrivalled by other companies.
It was in the spirit of "creating products not yet available in the world" that our company was founded, and that spirit is still as alive as ever wherever we engage in product creation.
Amidst a turbulent business environment, 2009 was a year when we completed preparations geared toward new growth by reviewing our unprofitable lines of business and implementing consolidation of our manufacturing bases.
Now, in 2010, it is our goal to create new customer values and to proactively undertake business growth not only in the existing field of electronics, but also in the next generation fields of growth of the environment and energy. With entry into the field of adhesive materials for solar cells last year as our starting point, this year, we will produce a lineup of new, unique products with high added value such as LED mounting adhesive materials to meet the needs of our customers.
